Are you 10 or older? Grab an adult and join this fun, creative workshop with Yuko Ueno Velaitis!
Learn Sashiko, a traditional Japanese stitching technique used for centuries to extend the life of fabric. You’ll practice the Juji Hanasashi (Cross Flower) pattern—simple stitches that transform into Xs and blossom into flowers!
Beginners can start with paper embroidery before moving to fabric to create a brooch. No sewing experience? No problem! Just make sure your accompanying adult has some.
3-hour workshop – $28 + HST (Grey Roots members save 10%). Fee includes admission for both participants (1 adult and 1 child).
